Jesus' Birthday Cake

Tanner wanted to make sure baby Jesus got a birthday cake. Although it wasn't made until after Christmas, we did get it made!

BibiddyBobottyBoo!

So, while attempting to change the sheets on our bed, Parker got very tickled at Tanner. It was so cute to hear them giggle! Needless to say, it got out of control and Tanner spent 20 minutes "pretending" to fall off the bed. Please excuse Tanner's outfit as he is in the habit of changing into pajamas by himself. He can be found in pajamas at any hour of the day. He doesn't care if they match and he usually likes to wear a plain white T-shirt..."just like my Dad!"...as he would say! I figure it's a small battle to lose! Hey, don't you like to wear sweats around the house!

The Exotic Feline Rescue Center

Papoppie took Tanner to see the lions, tigers, and bobats at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point. Tanner loves animals and got a big kick out of seeing the cats. You can get really close and as seen in this video there isn't a whole lot to keep you from being eaten!

Is this a baby rhinoceros?

I got a new recorder for christmas that lets me record little clips and upload them to the internet. I've never done this before so bare with me. Apparently my big recorder lets me up load too, but I haven't figured it out yet. With this one, it plugs in just like a thumb drive and uploads videos like you would upload pictures. I haven't figured out how to edit the clips yet so I have to upload the whole clip. This was from this morning. Tanner was playing with all the baby pets he's gotten from Mamommie and Papoppie. He asked if one was a baby rhinoceros and it sounded so cute. Hope you like it!

Pictures from Thanksgiving

Here are a few pictures from the past couple weeks. The first one is Tanner asleep with all his "pets" He takes after his Papoppie and is a true animals fanatic. He started sleeping in a tent on his floor a couple weeks ago. He only sleeps in his bed when he has too many "pets" to fit in his tent. The second picture is of Parker and Brady. They are 5 weeks apart.

The third picture was just funny. I was trying to get a cute picture of Parker and she decided to see how flexible she could be! It hard to take a cute picture when her toes are in her ears! The final picture is of all the cousins on the Clausen side: Tanner, Bryce, Parker, and Brady. What a crew!

Thanksgiving Treats

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house. Mitch's family and my family all got together. Cassy and Eric couldn't come since little Peyton was still in the NICU and Sadie couldn't join us because she's in Korea. We had a great time. It was a lot of fun to get everyone together. Matt, Danielle, and their boys were in town from Oklahoma so Tanner was excited to so see Bryce again. Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving! I'll post some pictures later!

Camping Out

Tanner has starting "camping" out in his bedroom at night and for nap time. He has a little tent, his blankets, pillows, and of course, his "pets". Pets are his stuffed animals. He is developing such an imagination. When he yelled down the stairs he was starting a fire I was a little nervous. Of course, I checked, and was surprised to see his "fire" that he made. It consisted of piles clothes, blankets, and sadly, a few stuffed animals. So there he laid, in his tent in front of his "fire" with his animal sound flashlight (thank you Mamommie).

Here are some pics we
took outside today. I'll send the rest out through shutterfly!

Parker has crazy bedhead in the morning. I thought this picture was so cute. She reminds me of a little pixie! Big brother Tanner is still in love with her. It is so sweet to see him with her. I have dozens of pictures just like this because he always asks me to "take our pitcher"! We are so blessed!

Pumpkin Works

We took Tanner and Parker to Pumpkin Works last week. In addition to pumpkins, they have several mazes you can go through. Tanner chose the 11 acre corn maze which started out great. After 45 minutes of wandering around the maze he started to get worn out. Eventually we found our way back to the barns. They had a smaller maze he could go through by himself. He loved it! He had to crawl through a tunnel, climb some straw bales, and then go down a large slide. I was a little surprised he did it on his own because he couldn't see us the entire time. He wants to go back next year. Parker just slept through the entire trip!

Digital Scrapbooking

I started taking an online digital scrapbooking class. These are a few of the pages I've done so far. It is so much fun and a lot less messier than paper scrapbooking!

Bug Cupcakes

Tanner saw a magazine at
Walmart that had bug cupcakes on the cover. He had a great time decorating them with M&M's, circus peanuts, and icing. I helped him with 6, then he decided it was much more fun just to squeeze icing all over them. Needless to say, most of the cupcakes looked pretty messy! After "accidentally" getting icing all over his hands (which needed licking off) he realized it was much easier to go straight to the source....the icing container! At least the cupcakes were done by that point!

Parker's Pigtails

I attempted pigtails in Parker's hair. Needless to say it only lasted about 10 seconds...just long enough to get this adorable picture! I can't wait for her hair to get a little thicker!

The Elephant Trainer

We recently visited the Shriner Circus where you were given the opportunity to ride an elephant. I graciously volunteered Mitch to take Tanner for a ride. As you can see from the photos, the elephant trainer was much to worried about his phone call than the 2 ton animal carrying small children! It was a highlight for Tanner, my little animal fanatic.

I can draw "a people"!

Tanner has discovered his hidden talent for drawing stick people. Now every things he draws on the chalk board must be given eyes, nose, mouth, arms, and legs...sometimes even "a hair". Every letter of the alphabet that he draws is now turned into a person. He is very proud of himself!

My Little Star Athlete!

So yesterday I took Tanner and Parker to watch Bonnie's soccer game. Tanner was excited and decided to take his own little soccer ball. Once we got to the field, Tanner was digging through the diaper bag and found a sheet of stickers. He then spent the next 30 minutes carefully placing stickers on each section of the soccer ball. He was totally oblivous to game being played but was more than happy to stick stickers all over the ball!

This Baby Penguin Misses his Family

For those of you who don't know, Tanner is an animal lover! He collects animal figures, books, and stuffed animals. As a reward he got to chose a new stuffed animal. He studied the shelves and picked up 3 penguins. I told him only one, so he carefully put back two and chose a little penguin. He carried it around all day and wanted to sleep with it that night. This is the conversation that followed:
Tanner: "This baby penguin is sad. He misses is mommy and baby sister."
Me: "Where are his mommy and baby sister?"
Tanner: "They're at the store."
Mitch: "Do we need to take your baby penguin back so that he can be with his mommy and sister?"
Tanner: "No, we need to go to the store and bring his mommy and sister home."
